Job summary

Michaels Stores in State College, PA is seeking a team member to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast checkout. You’ll help with truck unloading, stocking, and ensuring the store is well-merchandised.

Duties include engaging customers in rewards programs, supporting BOPIS/SFS, and upholding safety and SOP standards. Preferred candidates have retail or customer service experience, with the ability to stand long hours and lift/move stock.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience and a friendly, helpful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Responsible to complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
• Interact respectfully; promote the organization’s vision and values; be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
