Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan seeks a Store Director to lead our East Detroit Market store and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will shape the customer journey, oversee daily operations, and develop a high-performance team across departments.

The role demands strategic retail leadership, financial stewardship and a commitment to Meijer’s core values. You will be accountable for multi-location retail leadership and community partnerships to elevate the Meijer brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• Retail leadership with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations with focus on customer service and profitability.
• Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Mentor and coach team members and leaders to meet/exceed goals.
• Ensure proper staffing with trained team members and oversee development.
• Maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures for a safe work environment.
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
