Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Director for the East Detroit Market to lead store operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performance team. You will shape the customer experience, oversee merchandising and operations, and promote strong community engagement.

The role demands visionary leadership, proven ability to analyze financial data, and a track record of elevating store performance while upholding Meijer’s leadership standards and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience required.
• At least 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders.
• Retail leadership with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience with $40M+ annual sales responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead store and team to deliver best possible shopping experience.
• Maximize sales while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
• Mentor and coach team members and leaders to meet goals.
• Ensure proper staffing with trained team members and develop staff.
• Maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures for a safe store environment.
• Build strong community partnerships to support the Meijer brand.
