Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Director to lead our East Detroit Market store and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee operations, merchandising, and staff development to maximize profitability and service quality.

Ideal candidates bring multi-unit leadership experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail background, and a track record of managing $40M+ in annual sales. This role requires a strong leader committed to Meijer’s values and community presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience managing leaders with direct reports.
• 3 years retail leadership in General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh preferred.
• Experience with $40M+ annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and customer experience at the East Detroit Market.
• Drive financial performance and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Mentor and coach team members and leaders to meet goals.
• Ensure proper staffing and training across all roles.
• Maintain safety, regulatory, and merchandising standards.
• Cultivate relationships with the local community.
