Meijer Inc. is expanding its footprint in the Detroit Metro Area. We’re seeking passionate leaders to join our team as Assistant Store Directors for our North Detroit Market.

This role drives operations, merchandising, and staff development across multiple store locations to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to developing future leaders, improving profitability, and maintaining Meijer’s standards of service in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Demonstrates passion to lead and develop talent.
• Proactive/creative thinking applied to the business.
• Strong merchandising knowledge for seasonal and display planning.
• Solid business acumen to drive sales and market share.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations across food and general merchandise.
• Manage planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps.
• Engage and develop leadership to deliver best-in-class service.
• Cultivate talent and manage performance within span of care.
• Develop staffing strategies to meet forecasted needs.
• Uphold Meijer culture, values, and standards.
