Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations.
- Act in the Store Manager’s absence to manage all daily store activities.
- Coach, train, and develop store employees.
- Maintain excellent customer, donor, and community relations; resolve complaints promptly.
- Communicate personnel issues with Management; issue disciplinary warnings, conference reports, evaluations, and set goals with HR and district management.
- Ensure store meets ARC merchandising standards and inventory levels.
- Manage back‑room processing (BRP) and coordinate with material handlers to meet daily goals.
- Maintain adequate cash levels and safeguard cash in registers, safe, and bank deposit procedures per ARCC policy.
- Implement safety measures consistent with ARC and governmental regulations.
- Apply loss‑prevention measures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Management, Retail Directors, and Command Administration.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years Retail Management or Supervisory experience.
- Ability to handle POS/cash register operations and transactions accurately.
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
- Background check (criminal history and sex offender registry).
- Effective communication skills with management, employees, customers, and donors.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as drawers, carts, racks, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks, and miscellaneous items.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Must perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule
Our stores operate 7 days per week. Full‑time associates may be scheduled for any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and must remain flexible to ensure adequate coverage.
Pay Rate
$20.00 per hour
