Job summary

Cavender's in Monroe, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Store Management Team. You will support our culture, help lead daily store operations, coach associates, and drive sales, payroll and customer experience while upholding policy and safety.

Responsibilities include opening and closing, resolving customer issues, training staff in product knowledge and selling techniques, and keeping the store clean, organized and well-stocked to reflect the Best of the West experience.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.
• Proven ability to drive results and exceed sales metrics.
• Ability to train and coach associates in sales techniques and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender's Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Maintain active role in personal selling and achieve sales per hour goals.
• Train all associate positions and act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Open and close the store and supervise daily operations.
• Address customer complaints and manage returns/exchanges.
• Lead scheduling, payroll accuracy, and timecard management.
• Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
• Drive store performance through effective use of reports and KPIs.
