Job summary

J.Crew Factory is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our leadership team. You will drive profitability through customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, providing coaching to the sales team for peak performance.

You’ll collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies and ensure smooth operations, while coaching staff, supporting recruiting and development, and leading by example on service and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience in a similar scope.
• Passion for brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay current with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results and brand connection.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge fit sessions to elevate customer connection.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and loyalty through events.
• Step into various sales floor roles when needed.
