J.Crew Group, a premier retailer, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, while coaching the sales team for peak performance.

You will collaborate with the Store Director and other leaders to adapt strategies and ensure smooth operational support, including recruiting, training, and development as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail management experience with similar scope.
• Passion for brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and embrace new ideas while navigating uncertainty, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director and Associate Store Manager to impact business results while maximizing profitability.
• Own designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development efforts when needed.
• Partner with leadership to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost authentic customer connections.
• Develop community engagement and loyalty through events.
• Step into various sales-floor roles as needed.
