Steve Madden in Arlington, VA is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to work with the Store Manager on all store operations, leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences aligned with brand values.

You will partner to maximize profitability, manage merchandising, training, inventory, loss prevention, and daily store administration, with a schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, resources, and services to meet business goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and compliance.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through strong client focus and teamwork.
• Assist in visual merchandising and maintaining brand standards on the selling floor.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise and adherence to loss prevention policies.
• Assist in training, hiring, inventory management, store administration, and daily operational tasks.
• Support staff development and accountability; process transactions via POS and computer systems.
