Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee operations when the Manager on Duty is absent. You will supervise Associates, ensure merchandise presentation, and maintain a safe, friendly shopping environment on the sales floor.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service experience, and familiarity with POS systems to support efficient front-end operations and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and a clean, welcoming sales floor.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention and security procedures throughout the shift.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and frontline procedures.
• Manage Front End operations, including break schedules and customer flow.
