Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Store Area Supervisor to oversee daily operations and merchandising in assigned areas. You will ensure smooth freight flow while prioritizing exceptional customer experiences under the guidance of a Team Leader. This role serves as a development path toward leadership positions.

You will champion customer service, coordinate with corporate customer service, and support company initiatives. A background in retail ops and a willingness to train others is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years professional experience in retail environments.
• Customer service, training, and merchandise ordering/stocking experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Qlik.

Responsibilities

• Champion exceptional customer service and foster an inclusive environment.
• Bridge customer needs with corporate support for effective resolutions.
• Create work schedules and supervise the assigned area; support training and growth.
• Manage merchandise presentation and signage; ensure timely adherence to guidelines.
• Verify pricing of shipments and manage backroom stock and sales floor flow.
• Uphold store safety and opening/closing procedures; operate a cash register as needed.
