Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Store Area Team Leader in Middleboro, MA. You will lead store operations, oversee merchandise flow, and drive team performance to meet merchandising standards and store goals.

You will coach associates, manage freight, coordinate receiving, and ensure excellent customer service while leveraging OSJL’s technology tools to maintain efficient, collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of previous retail management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Google platform (Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Preferred experience with HCM and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support strategic leadership and profitability initiatives to maximize revenue.
• Ensure the store runs smoothly in the absence of the Store Team Leader.
• Oversee freight flow, backroom organization, and 24-hour freight turnaround.
• Collaborate with the Store Team Leader on inventory levels and merchandising.
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and optimize stock turnover.
• Recruit, train, and develop store associates, fostering teamwork.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation to meet company standards.
