Job summary

Translucent Services is seeking a dedicated Implementation Engineer to join our field services team. In this full-time role, you will provide expert on-site installation and upgrade services for data storage platforms to customers.

The position primarily supports clients within a 200-mile radius of Detroit, MI and involves regular air travel across the United States. You will collaborate with support and account teams, as well as directly with customers, to ensure seamless project execution and

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in storage, server, and networking technologies.
• Experience with hardware installation and software configuration.
• Ability to create run books, design workbooks, and statements of work.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Consultancy experience and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations of FlashArray and FlashBlade products.
• Perform Non-Disruptive Upgrades (NDUs) on FlashArrays and FlashBlades
• Collaborate with Support and Advanced Services teams to ensure successful upgrades.
• Install expansion shelves, data packs, expansion cards, and related hardware.
• Plan travel to customer sites for installations and upgrades.
• Perform installations of other Pure hardware or future offerings.
• Communicate effectively via email, phone, and Slack.
