Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown is seeking a Stewarding Lead to manage the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and stewarding areas while guiding a team. You will ensure proper sanitation and support culinary and banquet operations in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have stewarding or hospitality leadership experience, strong organization, and a can-do attitude. The role requires flexibility to cover mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior stewarding or hospitality leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Willing to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support stewarding colleagues to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Oversee cleaning, sanitizing, and proper storage of dishes and equipment.
• Assign daily tasks and guide staff to ensure efficiency and Hyatt standards.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Banquet teams to ensure readiness for service and events.
• Monitor sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety compliance.
• Assist with training on cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safe practices.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain clutter-free work areas.
• Report maintenance, sanitation, and safety concerns promptly.
• Support banquet setup, breakdown, and post-event cleanup.
