Job summary

Stonebridge in Ocean City, MD is seeking a Steward to ensure the orderly flow of china, glassware, silver, and related equipment while keeping cleanliness in line with health regulations and hotel policies.

The role supports all outlets and banquet areas by providing supplies and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, pantry, and storage area to help smooth daily service and event execution.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen stewarding experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitors the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assists in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas as needed.
• Follows health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Disposes of trash and recycling in accordance with local regulations.
• Restocks dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicates with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
• Assists with setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment for events.
