Job summary

Stonebridge Companies is seeking a Steward to support hotel kitchen operations by managing the flow of china, glassware, and silver, and by maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.

This role requires knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures, the ability to operate dishwashing machines, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment, including event setup and breakdown.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or stewarding role preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Keeps kitchen, pantry, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Handles and stores kitchen equipment properly.
• Monitors dishwashing machine for cleanliness.
• Transfers food and equipment to banquet/dining areas as needed.
• Adheres to health regulations and hotel standards.
• Disposes of trash and recycling per local rules.
• Restocks dishes, glassware, and silverware.
• Liaises with culinary team to ensure timely equipment delivery.
• Performs routine cleaning like mopping and surface wiping.
• Assists with setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment for events.
