Job summary

Stonebridge Companies in Ocean City, MD is seeking a Steward to support all dining outlets and banquets by maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and storage areas. You will wash and sanitize dishes, restock serviceware, and assist with setup and breakdown of events, while ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Ideal candidates have basic kitchen experience and a keen eye for cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or stewarding role preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitor the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assist in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas as needed.
• Follow health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with local regulations.
• Restock dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment for events.
