Job summary

RisasDental and Braces in Aurora, CO seeks a Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. You will perform cleaning, decontamination, sterilization of instruments, and assist our Dental Assistants and Doctors in patient care.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Enjoy 12-hour shifts, growth opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

• Must have basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology preferred.
• Prioritize multiple demands and maintain patient flow.
• Ability to work within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensures cleanliness and sterility of all instruments
• Accurately assembles instrument sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplies while minimizing waste
• Appropriately prepares and packages single instrument items, differentiating items requiring steam versus gas sterilization
• Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies using aseptic technique
• Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensure appropriate repairs are complete and maintenance performed preventing future damage
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies and practices)
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
