Qualifications

  • One or more years of practical experience as a dental sterilization technician (Preferred).
  • Physical ability to transport supplies and equipment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire for professional growth.
  • Be organized and possess knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
  • Decontaminate and clean all equipment; ensure sterility of instruments.
  • Assemble instrument sets based on count sheets; minimize waste.
  • Prepare and package items, differentiating steam vs gas sterilization.
  • Store, deliver, and manage sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
  • Evaluate equipment function; report malfunctions and arrange repairs.
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly dental assistant checklists.
  • Clean and sanitize clinical areas between patients.
  • Stock and restock treatment rooms with dental supplies.
  • Maintain and document maintenance on all dental equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; ensure a clean, sterile workspace.
  • Comply with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
  • Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensures cleanliness and sterility of all instruments.
  • Accurately assembles instrument sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplies while minimizing waste.
  • Appropriately prepares and packages single instrument items, differentiating items requiring steam versus gas sterilization.
  • Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
  • Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunctions and follows through to ensure appropriate repairs.
  • Maintenance performed preventing future damage.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all clinical areas between patients.
  • Stocking and re‑stocking treatment rooms and open bay area with all necessary dental supplies.
  • Help maintain the Daily/Weekly/Monthly Dental Assistant Checklist.
  • Help maintain and document maintenance on all dental equipment.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient‑centric working environment.
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook.
