Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a friendly, professional bilingual Dental Assistant to join our team. You will educate patients on treatments, assist doctors, and help maintain patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include sterilizing, taking x-rays, charting, and supporting the dentist with procedures. We value patient-centered care and teamwork, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor and patients.
• Must have a warm, friendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment and lend support to teammates as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors in all dental procedures and treatment.
• Sterilize, disinfect and prepare instruments and equipment for patient treatment.
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare as directed by the doctor.
• Present treatment options to patients based on doctor recommendations.
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients in an efficient and timely manner.
• Record patient charting and all doctor’s notes in the digital patient chart as directed.
• Maintain inventory and supplies.
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies).
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
