Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces in Denver, CO is seeking a friendly and professional Sterilization Technician to join our family. You will clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments, prep sterilization loads, and support dental assistants and doctors in patient care.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and clean all equipment and instruments to ensure sterility.
• Assemble instrument sets based on count sheets, minimizing waste.
• Prepare and package instruments for steam or gas sterilization.
• Store, deliver, and manage sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
• Evaluate equipment functioning and report malfunctions for maintenance.
• Clean and sanitize treatment rooms after each patient use.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA) and Risas policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensurescleanlinessand sterility of allinstruments
• Accurately assembles instruments sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplieswhileminimizingwaste
• Appropriately prepares and packages single instrumentitems,differentiatingitems requiring steam versus gassterilization
• Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies usingaseptictechnique
• Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensureappropriate repairsare complete and maintenance performed preventing futuredamage
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Any other duties and responsibilities asassigned
