Job summary

RisasDental and Braces is hiring a Sterilization Technician to decontaminate, clean, and sterilize dental instruments, trays, and equipment. The role supports Dental Assistants and Doctors in patient care and maintains aseptic technique.

Responsibilities include assembling instrument sets, preparing items for sterilization, and keeping treatment areas clean. A bilingual English/Spanish ability and a high school diploma are required to join a team-focused, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Physically capable of transporting supplies and equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and clean all equipment and instruments to ensure sterility.
• Assemble instrument sets using established count sheets and minimize waste.
• Prepare and package instruments for steam or gas sterilization as needed.
• Store, deliver, and manage sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure repairs and maintenance are completed.
• Clean and sanitize treatment rooms after each patient.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensurescleanlinessand sterility of allinstruments
• Accurately assembles instruments sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplieswhileminimizingwaste
• Appropriately prepares and packages single instrumentitems,differentiatingitems requiring steam versus gassterilization
• Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies usingaseptictechnique
• Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensureappropriate repairsare complete and maintenance performed preventing futuredamage
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Any other duties and responsibilities asassigned
