Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking a dedicated Operator for our sterilization facility. You will monitor systems, observe temperature and humidity, adjust valves, and ensure safe, efficient movement of products through the line.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 months to 1 year in a sterilization environment, basic math, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work established shifts. Forklift experience and computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months to 1 year of sterilization environment experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Must be willing to work established shifts.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred.
• Computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitors sterilization system including pressure, temperature and humidity readings.
• Turns valves and adjusts controls to ensure safe equipment operation.
• Observes sterilizers and auxiliaries for malfunctions and assists with repairs.
• Records process readings and reports issues to supervisors.
• Assists with daily/weekly maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintains safe handling of chemicals per procedures.
• Participates in safety committees and follows safety rules.
