Job summary

Sotera Health Company is hiring an Operator for our Santa Teresa facility. This role monitors sterilization systems, reads environmental data, and ensures products move through the line at the correct times.

You will turn valves, adjust controls, detect malfunctions, document readings, and support maintenance tasks. We require a High School Diploma or GED, fluency in English, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions.
• Must be willing to work established shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system: observe pressure, temperature, and relative humidity on charts or monitors.
• Operate valves and adjust controls for safe equipment operation.
• Observe sterilizers and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and assist with repairs.
• Document/process readings and report damaged product or system problems.
• Perform daily/weekly preventive maintenance and assist Maintenance as needed.
• Handle chemicals per procedures and laws; participate in plant safety committees.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
