Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking an Operator to support sterilization operations at our facility. The role requires handling dosimetry, operating dosimeter readers, and assembling run data with load/unload documentation.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, 30 days sterilization experience, and be fluent in English. Forklift experience and basic computer skills are preferred; the position involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 30 days of experience in a sterilization environment and training per requirements.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Willingness to work established shifts; ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending.
• Forklift driving experience and basic computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate the plant in the absence of the Shift/Process Supervisor.
• Prepare dosimeters for scheduled work orders.
• Operate and read the dosimeter reader; assemble processed dosimeters with run data sheets and load/unload sheets.
• Maintain downtime and system configuration logs; record input and unload information in the computer.
• Follow emergency procedures and report system problems to maintenance.
• Know how to replace designated mechanical components and assist maintenance as required.
• Oversee the work of others and assist with assigned tasks.
