Job summary

Sotera Health Company is seeking an Operator to coordinate activities on the conveyor, load and unload product, and handle dosimeters and related paperwork. You will work under the Shift Supervisor and Operations Manager to support safe, efficient operation in a sterilization setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, fluency in English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift experience is preferred and computer skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Must be willing to work established shifts.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over time.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Records input, dosimeter and unload information in the computer.
• Loads and unloads product into totes that are sterilized through an irradiation machine under supervision.
• Prepares dosimeters for work orders scheduled to be run.
• Operates and takes readings on the dosimeter reader.
• Assembles processed dosimeters with run data sheet, work orders and load/unload sheets.
• Familiar with emergency procedures and able to follow them.
• Reports system problems to the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team.
• Knows how to replace designated mechanical components and may assist Maintenance as needed.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned.
