Job summary

Sotera Health Company in Memphis is seeking an Operator to coordinate all activities on the conveyor by organizing work orders at the load and unload stations. Loads and unloads product, completes required paperwork and assists the Shift Supervisor in safe operation of the system.

You will operate the dosimeter reader, prepare dosimeters for orders, and assemble data sheets while following emergency procedures and reporting issues to supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Able to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Willingness to work established shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred and computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Records input, dosimeter and unload information in the computer.
• Loads and unloads product into totes that are sterilized through an irradiation machine.
• Prepares dosimeters for work orders scheduled to be run.
• Operates and reads the dosimeter reader and assembles run data sheets.
• Reports system problems to supervision and assists maintenance as needed.
• Familiar with emergency procedures required by governing agencies.
• Participates in replacing designated mechanical components under supervision.
