Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, inspect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and medical equipment to support patient care. You will follow IFUs, assemble sets, prep for sterilization, operate washers and sterilizers, and maintain logs and inventories while delivering supplies to clinical areas.

This full-time, second-shift role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows IFU and safety protocols to decontaminate, inspect, and assemble instrument sets.
• Loads washers/ultrasonic cleaners and operates sterilizers.
• Maintains logs, tracks instruments, and ensures sterility of items.
