Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician on the second shift to clean, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments for sterilization. You will operate washers and sterilizers, maintain sterility, and support clinical staff with case carts and supplies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read and follow instructions. Prior experience with instrument tracking software is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent certificate required.
• Ability to read and follow written/oral instructions with accuracy.
• Experience with instrument decontamination or sterile processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and assemble instruments for sterilization.
• Operate washers, ultrasonic cleaners, steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers.
• Maintain logs and ensure sterility; stock case carts and supplies.
• Assist with onboarding of new partners and respond to department requests.
