Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room team. The role involves preparing and delivering supplies, cleaning and packaging instruments, and maintaining inventory under supervision.

The setting is a tertiary care environment with responsibility across multiple devices and processes. Under the Nurse Manager and Core leadership, you will use computer applications for sterilization tracking and equipment processing, including autoclaves and washers.

Qualifications

• HSPA CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.
• Two years of experience in handling/sterilization of instruments preferred or related certifications.
• Ability to communicate with diverse people in an empathetic, articulate manner.
• Frequent lifting/carrying of 25 pounds or more and adaptability in perioperative settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical instrumentation and manage inventory and storage.
