Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room team. Under supervision, you will prepare and deliver supplies, clean and package instruments, and manage sterilization processes while maintaining inventory.

This role requires adherence to safety and accuracy in a fast-paced perioperative setting. Full-time, on-site position with occasional travel to nearby locations as needed; offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within Mayo

Qualifications

• CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.
• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Two years of experience in processing of surgical/medical/dental instrumentation preferred or related roles.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with a variety of people in a direct and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Clean, package and process surgical equipment and instrumentation; maintain inventory and storage.
• Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washer/disinfector, ultrasonic cleaners).
