Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room team. Under supervision, you will prepare and deliver medical supplies and equipment, process sterilization, and manage inventory.

You will operate autoclaves, washer/disinfector, and ultrasonic cleaners and use tracking software to ensure accuracy. The role requires CRCST certification within 18 months of hire or related vocational certificate and preferred two years of experience in processing surgical

Qualifications

• CRCST certification within 18 months of hire is required.
• Two years of experience handling and sterilizing surgical/medical/dental instrumentation is preferred within the last four years.
• Or a vocational certificate as Central Service Technician or Patient Care Assistant within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver sterile supplies, instruments and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Clean, package and process surgical equipment; maintain inventory and storage in the core.
• Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washer/disinfector, ultrasonic cleaners).
• Manage multiple computer applications for sterilization tracking.
