Job summary

North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to independently handle decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of reusable medical devices. You will follow IFU and departmental standards to support quality and efficiency.

Required: 1-2 years in central sterile in a healthcare setting; High School Diploma or equivalent. CRCST or CSPDT preferred. Evening shifts, onsite at 81 Highland Avenue, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience may substitute.
• 1-2 years of central sterile experience in a healthcare setting.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of reusable medical devices and surgical instruments.
• Operates sterile processing equipment (washers, sterilizers) following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness, function, and completeness; flags items needing repair or replacement.
