Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Central Processing Technician II for evenings, with a 40-hour schedule including every 3rd weekend as needed. The role focuses on decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of sterile supplies and instruments within a high-precision environment.

Candidates must hold a CRCST or CSPDT certification and have at least one year of relevant experience, with strong English communication and documented ability to work with medical terminology and data

Qualifications

• Requires ability to speak, read, write, and communicate in English effectively with CP Department managers, supervisors, and staff.
• Ability to accurately interpret and use medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Ability to access and enter computerized data and information.
• Organizational skills to effectively set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of medical/surgical supplies.
• Care, handling, disassembly and re-assembly of equipment and surgical instrumentation.
• Maintenance of case cart/inventory management systems and stocking par levels for operating rooms and labor and delivery.
• Delivery, retrieval, and re-assembly of patient equipment; assist with training junior techs.
