Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to decontaminate, assemble and sterilize medical equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards and quality patient care.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma (Associate's degree preferred) and CSPDT/CRCST/CST certification. Prior experience in sterile processing is preferred and completion of required tests for instrument release is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of decontamination, assembly and sterilization.
• Ability to determine appropriate cleaning methods and document results.
• Demonstrated attention to quality control and to bioburden testing.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, assemble, package and sterilize instruments.
• Ensure proper cleaning of mobile patient equipment.
• Maintain sterilization records and documentation.
• Release instrumentation only after required tests and approvals.
• Orient and precept new staff as assigned.
