UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment across hospital locations. The role includes charging, logging, and patient charges for the OR, with daily biological testing and involvement in improvement projects.

Flexibility to float across locations is required. Successful completion of an accredited Sterile Processing school or Surgical Technology program (or 18 months related experience) and CRCST/CSPDT certification are

Qualifications

• Requires float across all UCI Health locations as needed.
• Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Current full CRCST or CSPDT certification. Must maintain certification by CEUs and renewal.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
• Charge, billing and logging of service as well as patient charges for the OR.
• Perform daily biological testing.
• Participate in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects.
