Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies for the hospital and clinics. The role includes charging and logging services for the OR and performing daily biological testing.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Sterile Processing program or equivalent, holds CRCST or CSPDT certification, and can float across locations with variable shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or equivalent with 18 months of relevant experience.
• Current CRCST or CSPDT certification; maintain through CEUs and renewals.
• Knowledge of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Ability to float across all UCI Health locations and work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment.
• Charge, bill, and log services including patient charges for OR as applicable.
• Perform daily biological testing.
• Collaborate on department and center-wide performance improvement projects.
