Job summary

UofL Health seeks a Sterile Processing Tech to ensure the correct, fully functional sterile instrumentation is delivered in a timely manner to the OR and other units. You will perform decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch with adherence to AAMI, AORN, and CDC guidelines.

Responsibilities include delivering case carts, maintaining inventory, and performing cleaning and packaging of instruments. Strong attention to safety and patient-focused service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year healthcare setting experience preferred.
• National certification for Sterile Processing required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in decontamination and prep of instruments.
• Assemble supplies into case carts for procedures.
• Deliver sterile and non-sterile instrumentation throughout the hospital.
