Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Department Technician responsible for decontamination, instrument set assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes across the hospital and its affiliates.

You will use the instrument tracking system, apply department procedures, follow AAMI guidelines and act as a resource for teammates, contributing to department growth and timely, high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or one year related experience and/or training.
• Certification required within 2 years of hire: IAHCSMM or CSPDT.

Responsibilities

• Follows manufacturer's guidelines for steam and low temperature sterilization and uses the Steris IQ tracking system for documentation.
• Follows decontamination and disinfection instructions for instrumentation and flexible endoscopes per standards and industry guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical instrument kit and case cart inspection and assembly.
• Adheres to hospital Sterile Processing Department policies and AAMI guidelines.
• Maximizes productivity and demonstrates time management.
• Delivers prompt quality customer service for our patients.
• Expedites turnover of surgical instrumentation.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
