Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Supply Technician to decontaminate, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes for patient care. The role serves as a resource to peers and other departments and contributes to the department’s daily success.

The position emphasizes following JC guidelines, documentation standards and AAMI guidelines while maintaining production and quality customer service for our patients.

Qualifications

• High school or GED or one year related experience and/or training required.
• Certification required within 2 years of hire: IAHCSMM or CSPDT.
• Experience as a Central Sterile Technician or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows manufacturer's guidelines for steam and low temperature sterilization and documents accordingly.
• Performs decontamination and disinfection of instrumentation and flexible endoscopes per standards and guidelines.
• Assembles instrument kits and case carts, inspects and handles turnover of surgical instrumentation.
• Adheres to OSC CSS policies and AAMI guidelines; delivers quality customer service to patients.
