Job summary

IU Health seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee preparation, sterilization and distribution of instruments and endoscopes for patient care. You will lead, train and evaluate staff, develop procedures, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the sterile processing area.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, BLS certification, and ongoing CE credits; state and federal regulations knowledge is essential. Associates degree preferred; national certifications required.

Qualifications

• Requires 24 CE credits annually focused on CS field (technical).
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per AHA.
• Requires 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and professional best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preparation, sterilization and distribution of equipment and endoscopes for patient care.
• Supports broad sterilization goals and customer needs across units.
• Supervises and develops staff; prepares reports and assists with policy development.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance in the sterile processing area.
