Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Dept. Supervisor to oversee shift workflow, ensure proper decontamination and sterilization of supplies, and maintain infection control standards. This role requires leadership experience in sterile processing and appropriate CST/Crcst certification.

The successful candidate will plan workloads, manage staff performance, and coordinate with clinical teams to support safe patient care in a large academic health system located in California.

Qualifications

• Accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology OR 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Minimum three years’ work experience as a CST in a leadership capacity.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Current CRCST or CST certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, prioritize, and coordinate workflow for the shift.
• Ensure decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
• Act as resource and ensure infection control practices are followed.
• Manage workloads, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
