Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Sterile Processing Department Supervisor to oversee decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies. You will coordinate workloads, ensure infection control practices, and act as a resource for the team.

The role requires completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience, plus CRCST/CST certification and leadership history to drive operations in a major academic health system.

Qualifications

• Accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology OR 18 months Sterile Processing experience.
• Must hold CRCST or CST certification.
• Strong knowledge of infection control techniques and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, prioritize, and coordinate team workload for shifts.
• Ensure proper decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
• Manage performance evaluations, disciplinary actions if needed, and scheduling.
