Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing Program or equivalent clinical experience in SPD.
• Certification required for Supervisor position along with 3-5 years of SPD experience.
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
• Computer skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily SPD department operations and staff.
• Maintain and verify decontamination/sterilization documentation per regulations and policy.
• Monitor QA testing and daily SPD monitoring; maintain logs.
• Provide data to inform equipment/instrument purchases and reports to leadership.
• Staffing of the SPD for daily operations.
• Review and update SPD policies in collaboration with leadership.
• Uphold hospital policies on conduct, compliance, confidentiality, and safety.
