Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital (NCSH) seeks a Sterile Processing Lead for the second shift to supervise the SPD and ensure accurate sterilization of instruments and equipment. The role requires coordinating with the Operating Room team and maintaining high-quality infection control standards.

Under the Surgical Services Director, you will manage daily SPD operations, monitor QA, and prepare reports for Performance Improvement initiatives while upholding hospital policies and patient safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Completion of Sterile Processing Program from an accredited institution or equivalent clinical SPD experience.
• Supervisor certification with 3-5 years SPD experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily SPD operations and staff under Surgical Services Director.
• Ensure proper decontamination, sterilization, and aseptic technique; maintain equipment/instrument readiness.
• Provide ongoing communication with Operating Room staff and address special equipment needs.
