Job summary

University Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead Sterile Processing Technicians and supervise daily operations across decontamination, assembly and sterilization.

You will ensure compliance with AAMI, AORN and CDC standards, mentor staff, and coordinate with the SPD Manager on performance and training. Requires three years of SS processing experience and double certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of Sterile Processing experience required.
• Double Certification by a nationally recognized program for Sterile Processing Technicians required.
• CHL or CSPM Certification must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Sterile Processing Technicians and train new staff.
• Oversee decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments.
• Monitor sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
• Assign daily work schedules and coach staff on quality.
• Support performance improvement activities and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and department policies.
