Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Sterile Processing Tech Lead to take reports from the supervisor and ensure patient needs are met. The candidate will direct staff flow on the evening shift and oversee the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation, including disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization.

Qualifications

• SPD-relevant certification required (CRCST or CBSPD).
• Minimum 2 years SPD experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation: disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, testing, assembly, packaging, labeling and sterilization.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and related equipment.
• Complete quality monitoring and documentation.
• Perform quality assurance activities.
• Oversee supply inventory management and instrument rounds.
• Mentor, train, coach and role-model new Sterile Processing Technicians.
• Lead the department to promote teamwork within and with other departments.
