Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to provide operational and technical leadership for the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). You will supervise Lead Technicians and Sterile Processing Technicians, coordinate daily workflow, ensure staff competency, and drive quality assurance and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be certified and maintain CRCST–HSPA or CBSPD certification.
• At least 3 years of sterile processing experience in processing or leadership.
• Knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology, and infection prevention.
• Knowledge of instrument names, functions, and specialty sets.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; basic computer skills.
• Advanced CIS/CER/CHL certifications preferred.
• Experience as a preceptor or trainer; familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems.
