Job summary

Qualifications

• TABE Reading Test Score of 10D.
• TABE Math Test Score of 8D.
• Successful completion of a panel interview.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, assembles, packages and sterilizes surgical instrument pans, procedural trays, technical equipment, and surgical case carts.
• Operates steam sterilizers; prepares and dispenses sterile items; inspects and stocks supplies; performs inspection, adjusting, cleaning and general servicing of instruments and equipment.
• Checks and adjusts medical equipment to ensure readiness prior to issuing; sends nonconforming items for repair.
• Decontaminates instruments and equipment; maintains clean work areas and handles infectious waste per protocol.
• Receives and stores supplies; maintains inventory records and par levels; delivers supplies as needed.
• Maintains quality assurance on sterile supplies and instruments; performs daily checks on sterility and documentation.
